*Students applying credits as a transfer from the Colorado Community College AA in Business Degree with Designation Program (UCCS pathway) will likely meet the required 60 credits needed as prerequisites for the BS in Business online, 8-week, 60 credit completion program. Students who do not have those 60 credit hours can still complete their degree at UCCS, but not all of the courses will be offered in an 8-week format.

BS in Business Curriculum Overview
In order to graduate with a BS in Business from UCCS, you’ll need to complete a total of 120 credits, including general education, core business, and emphasis requirements. Of those 120 credits, you must complete a minimum of 30 credits as a UCCS College of Business student.
Many of our students choose to apply once they have obtained an AA in Business from a Colorado Community College for a seamless transfer process. For students who have not obtained this degree, 60 credits of prior coursework can be applied to the degree from previously attended community colleges or universities. Once admitted to the UCCS College of Business, you will receive a personalized transfer credit evaluation to determine how your transfer credits can be applied to the program.
Our BS in Business courses include a comprehensive business curriculum and open electives to help you gain specific knowledge in your areas of interest. You’ll complete your degree program with an internship that allows you to practice the business skills and theories that you’ve learned throughout your courses.

In addition to having the appropriate prerequisites, you will need to meet the undergraduate admission requirements for the UCCS College of Business. All transfer students need the following to be admitted into the UCCS College of Business:
- a 3.0 cumulative transfer GPA

Financial aid is available for eligible students to use toward paying educational costs while enrolled in a CU Online program. To determine your eligibility and apply for financial aid, you’ll need to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Unlike financial aid loans, scholarships are gift aid that does not have to be repaid. As a student, you will be able to apply for scholarships every semester.
If you are applying as a transfer student, your coursework from other colleges and universities could count toward your University of Colorado degree requirements.
