While we’ve made significant progress in the field of maternal and child health, far too many children and mothers still die from preventable causes. Public health practitioners and current graduate students who want to tackle this important issue and apply best practices to serve women, children and families are a great fit for this program. With only 5 hours of required coursework and 10 elective credits, this flexible and fully online program is a great fit for those who want to customize their education.
Students in this program can tailor their course schedule to focus on specific populations, such as American Indian/Alaska Native or Latinx, or fields, such as epidemiology or community health. Those who excel in this program and wish to pursue a Master of Public Health (MPH), can apply certificate credits (up to 21) towards their degree. We do not require the GRE for the certificate program or for our MPH program.
